Fall Portraits, 2010

For Fall 2010, some good color combinations for individual or family portraits are Teal & Brown, Fuschia & Brown, Olive Green & Khaki, Grey & Mustard Yellow, and rich Purple. Keep it simple. Overly bright colors, stripes, dots, and patterns don’t work well because they tend to draw attention away from the face(s) in your portrait.

Layer, Layer, Layer and Accessorize: Dress in layers to add texture and depth to your images. Also add some fun accessories such as scarves, necklaces, fun shoes or boots, earrings, vests, belts, hats, etc.

For a group portrait, coordinate the clothing. Dress similarly, and choose solid colors and simple lines. Your clothing selections should compliment each other, they DO NOT have to match exactly. Everyone dress in the same ‘style’. Either all go casual or dressy or somewhere in between.

2011 Senior Representatives

WOW....so, it's been awhile since I've posted anything on my blog.  This is becoming a terrible habit which I must correct.

I've finally announced my Senior Representatives for 2011. These 3 were selected based upon school involvement, recommendations from family/friends and overall enthusiasm for this project. They are:

Emma is Vice President of the Spanish Club, Club Rep of FCCLA, Secretary of FTA, Student Council Executive Board Secretary and she is on the MCHS track team.

Tori is a member of the Varsity cheerleading squad, is involved in Leadership, and also very much interested in pursuing photography.

Lucas Grogan is involved in Weightlifting, Basebal., Football, Skills USA & FCCLA.

I look forward to working with these 3 over the next year.....

Lovin Some Snow Pictures!

We took these pictures over the New Year's Holiday. We've had a couple more snows since then, but unfortunately my Canon happened to be in the shop due to a faulty circuit board so we missed out on pics during those two storms.

I'm ready for spring weather..... and of course spring pictures.

Snow

Snow......We've had an abundance of it already this winter, and more in the forecast for this week. Hopefully this doesn't interfere with our plans, as we will be leaving on Wednesday to head to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida for the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championships. We are very excited to be a part of this, and look forward to an exciting and exhausting week. Please keep us in your prayers, that we may have a safe voyage there and back.

Really need to update....

I really need to get on here and update this thing every once in awhile. I am just soooo unmotivated in the winter. Does anyone else have this problem?
